My name is Daniel Kaufmann. My first 8 years of teaching were in the high school math classroom. I taught everything from Algebra 1 to AP Statistics. This year Wilson School District went 1-1, with Chromebooks, in grades 6-12. In doing so, they hired 3 additional instructional technology coaches (Sara Kahl, Rick Lapi, and myself). Working as an instructional technology coach has been a great experience. I have learned about tablet deployment in the elementary grades, structuring professional development, and working with teachers on an individual basis to incorporate effective technology integration into their classroom.
I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge, learning some new skills, and networking with educators that are passionate about technology use in the classroom.
