Welcome to Spring Into Technology! My name is Jan Zelinski and I am the Computer Technology Integration teacher at Lehman Intermediate School for East Stroudsburg Area School District. I teach the Internet Safety and Cyberbullying curriculum to all students at Lehman and integrate technology skills with many classroom teachers. I also help out whenever I can with technology professional development and offering trainings at Spring into Technology.

This is my 11th year employed at Lehman. Prior to working at Lehman, I was the district trainer for Battle Creek and Lakeview Public Schools in Michigan and taught computer skills and applications to students in grades 2-12 throughout parochial schools in New Jersey.

My session is entitled “Google or Moodle? What Moodle Has Over Google.” The objective of the session is to showcase some of Moodle’s awesome tools. Right now the big buzz is for teachers to use Google Drive and all of its tools; however, Moodle has many awesome tools that Google Drive does not have, such as Forums, Quizzes and Tests and Lessons, just to name a few. I also will demonstrate how to integrating Google Drive with Moodle so everyone can get the best of both worlds!

Class Prerequisite: Please make sure you have an active Moodle Page and know the basics of Moodle: editing your settings and adding an activity or a resource.
